In the third quarter of 2023, Poland's leading tools apps saw varying performance metrics on a unified platform. Here's a closer look at the trends for the top five apps.
Avast Antivirus & Security experienced a notable decrease in weekly downloads, starting strong with 10.2K in mid-July but dropping to around 5.3K by the end of September. Despite the decline in downloads, weekly revenue remained relatively stable, peaking at approximately $7.9K at the end of July before settling around $6.1K in late September. Active users also saw a downward trend, from 161.7K at the start of the quarter to 145.1K by the end.
NordVPN – fast VPN for privacy showed a consistent increase in weekly revenue, starting at $4K in late June and peaking at $7.3K in early September. Weekly downloads exhibited fluctuations, with a high of 9.8K in late July and a dip to 6.7K by the end of September. Active users remained fairly steady, fluctuating around 50K through most of the quarter.
ESET Mobile Security Antivirus had a mixed performance. Weekly revenue saw significant peaks and troughs, with a high of $5.2K at the end of August but dropping to $1.6K by late September. Downloads also varied, reaching a peak of 7K in early August before falling to 4.2K at the end of September. Active users maintained around 42K throughout the quarter.
AVG AntiVirus & Security enjoyed a strong start in Q3 with 12.2K downloads in late June but saw a decline to 5K by the end of September. Revenue showed minor fluctuations, peaking at $3.3K in early September. Active users remained robust, with a slight decrease from 109K in late June to 96K by the end of September.
VPN & Antivirus by Kaspersky showed steady growth in weekly downloads, starting with 677 in late June and climbing to 2.1K by the end of September. Revenue followed a similar upward trajectory, peaking at $2.3K in early September. Active users increased from 7.5K at the start of the quarter to 9.1K by the end.
